Fanfic generator
Pick a fandom and characters, choose a trope, and describe what happens. The fanfic generator writes a complete, original fic in under a minute. No account, and nothing you type is saved.
How to get a fic that feels like the real characters
The fanfic generator knows a lot of canon, but it can only be as specific as your brief. Fan fiction lives on small, true details: the way one character deflects with a joke, the name of the inn they always end up in, the fight they never finished in book three. Give it some of that and the fic gets much better.
- Say when it happens. "After the finale", "during the war years", "the summer before the first book". Canon timing changes everything about how characters treat each other.
- Name the relationship as it is now. Rivals who respect each other, exes who still share a flat, a mentor and a student who have stopped talking. The trope menu helps, but one sentence of your own helps more.
- Give one concrete want. Not "they talk" but "she wants him to admit he read her letter". A want gives the story a shape.
- Pick a missing scene. The best fics often fill a gap canon skipped: the walk home, the night before, the apology that happened off the page.
- Alternate universes need one rule. For a coffee shop AU, say who owns the shop and who keeps ordering the wrong drink. The generator will keep the characters, and change the world.
If a fic misses, press Write another version. Each one is written fresh, so the same brief can give you a different first line, a different turn and a different ending.
Tropes, explained in one line each
Pick one in the form, or mix two in your brief. Every trope here is a promise to the reader about how the story will feel.
Enemies to lovers
Two people who clash for real reasons, and a story that makes them stop. The fun is in how long they hold out.
Slow burn
Feelings that build over a long stretch. In a short fic, write one moment late in the burn: the first time someone says it out loud.
Found family
People with nowhere else to go, choosing each other. Works for any fandom with a crew, a team or a household.
Hurt and comfort
One character is hurt, physically or otherwise, and another stays. The comfort is the story.
Fix-it
Canon ended badly, so this version does not. Say exactly which moment you want to change.
Missing scene
A scene canon skipped or cut away from. Tell the generator what comes just before and just after.
Modern or coffee shop AU
The same characters in an ordinary modern setting. Their personalities have to survive the move, and that is what makes it work.
Fake dating
Two characters pretend to be together for a good reason, and the pretending gets harder. Give the reason in your brief.
Using AI fanfic well
Fan fiction is a community built on people writing for each other, so a little care goes a long way.
- Read the archive's rules before you post. Fan fiction archives and communities have their own rules about AI-generated work, and some require a tag or do not allow it. Check before you share anything written here.
- Say it was AI-assisted. Readers deserve to know, and most will appreciate the honesty.
- Do not sell it. Fan fiction uses characters other people own. Keep it free and non-commercial.
- Use it as a draft. The strongest use of an AI fic is as raw material: keep the scene you liked, rewrite it in your own voice, and throw the rest away.
If you want to write longer fics yourself, chapter by chapter, with your notes on characters and canon beside the page, that is what Feldar, our writing app, is for. You write; its suggestions arrive in blue and stay only if you accept them.
What happens to what you type
Your fandom, characters and brief go to an AI model running on Cloudflare Workers AI, which writes the fic and streams it back to your browser. We do not store your brief or the fic, and we do not use them to train anything. To keep the tool free, we keep a count of requests per network address for one day, stored as a one-way code rather than the address itself.
Fics are written by open models: Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6, or Google's Gemma 4 when the tool is busy. A safety check screens each request first. Fics are kept to General and Teen ratings: no explicit sexual content, nothing sexual involving minors, no graphic gore and no hate.
Questions
Is this fanfic generator free?
Yes. There is no account and no payment. Each person can write up to 10 fics a day, and the tool has an overall daily limit.
Which fandoms does it know?
Any fandom with enough public material for an AI model to have read about it: books, films, TV, anime, games and myths. The more famous the canon, the more it knows. For something niche, put the key facts in your brief.
Can it write explicit or mature fics?
Not at the moment. The rating menu goes up to Teen and up, and a safety check screens every request.
Can I post what it writes?
Check the rules of the archive or community first, since many have rules about AI-generated work. If you post, say that it was AI-assisted, and do not sell fan fiction.
Does it copy from the original books or shows?
It is told not to copy or closely paraphrase passages, dialogue or lyrics from the original work. Every fic is written fresh from your brief.
